i would like to be able to take 100 rar files and drag them into UnRarX and come back to my computer an hour later and have all 100 rar files un-rar-ed, instead of having to sit at my computer waiting for each one to finish so i can drag the next rar file... is there a way to do a batch-unrar?
also, with passwords, how do i set UnRarX to use the same password for each rar file that i drag into it? because, it sure is a pain not only to drag one rar file at a time, but to also have to enter the same password over and over and over.
if both of these are not available with 2.2, i'd gladly PAY for these abilities, so please start working on them! :-D
Hi, after a period of rather rare need of un-raring I was pressed recently to process a large number of .rar files that were all protected using the same password. This caused me 1. to pay what I felt fair for this useful little piece of software and 2. to look into the forum because I found no way to have unrarX apply the same password to the dozens of files I had to unpack and bingo - all has been thought and said before. I would appreciate it very much (and without swearing ;-) ) if you could include a password-handling feature for multiple uses, preferably a library or keychain system. Thank you very much! (Mac OS X 10.4.11)
I second this motion, please do revamp the password handling features:
1. Try last used password automatically 2. Password Entry Dialog Automatic Pop-Up when password required
In fact you could even have an option to brute-force the password with previously used ones (users would have to select this option as saving passwords poses a security risk).
I go to browse, then find the folder where the rar files are located, and then only one of them should be selectable and that is the one you open which will open all of them, one at a time, for you. And then I walk away and come back and there is a beautiful little mkv (or whatever) file waiting for me and not a single naughty word comes out of my mouth! :)
