I know UnRarX has them and I need your help to squash em. Post your bugs in this forum and if your willing to test fixes on the fly with beta version of new release please let me know.
------ERROR------ Program fails when extracting from/to an external Lacie harddrive. Extracting 81 rar-files (50 Mb each) to File Directory. Error when at .r74:
"Extracting from /Volumes/LACIE/DivX mm/Frostbiten/Frostbiten.2006.NORDIC.PAL.DVDR.FFS/ffs.frostb.r74 ... ffs.frostb.img Write error in the file /Volumes/LACIE/DivX mm/Frostbiten/Frostbiten.2006.NORDIC.PAL.DVDR.FFS/ffs.frostb.img [R]etry, [A]bort Write error in the file /Volumes/LACIE/DivX mm/Frostbiten/Frostbiten.2006.NORDIC.PAL.DVDR.FFS/ffs.frostb.img Program aborted File too large"
- but the unpacked file should be 4.41 Gb and I've got 170 Gb free...
------WORKING----- Tried to expand the same archive from the external drive - but selected Desktop as destination:
"Extracting from /Volumes/LACIE/DivX mm/Frostbiten/Frostbiten.2006.NORDIC.PAL.DVDR.FFS/ffs.frostb.r81 ... ffs.frostb.img OK All OK"
***Worked flawlessly!***
I.e. nothing wrong with the rar-files. So, either I have some problems with the external drive (damaged cluster/whatever) or UnrarX is misbehaving (perhaps the path is too long?). Even if there is something wrong with the hard drive I really think UnrarX should try and use different sectors on the drive before giving up on the extraction...
BTW: The program claims to be both "UNRAR 3.60 beta 6 freeware" and "Version 2.2"...
UnRarX is a GUI interface to command line version of unrar. The current version of unrar command line is 3.60 beta 6. The current version of UnRarX is 2.2
I will test extractions on external hard drive and post my results.
if the iso-size is 4.41 GB then rars #1-#74 should be approx. 4.0 GB in extracted size. The error may occur because your filesystem on the external drive is FAT32 which only supports a max filesize of 4.0 GB, so the file is becoming "too large". If you really use FAT32 you should format the hd with ntfs or some osx filesystem.
I am getting this code when downloading a particular movie right now,
"Extracting from /Users/drewwahlgren/Downloads/The.Dark.Knight.1080p.BluRay.x264-HD1080/hd1080-tdk.r20
... hd1080-tdk.mkv Write error in the file /Users/drewwahlgren/Desktop/hd1080-tdk.mkv [R]etry, [A]bort Write error in the file /Users/drewwahlgren/Desktop/hd1080-tdk.mkv Program aborted
Inappropriate ioctl for device"
Am I SOL because of a bad download? what can I do? I just tried extracting to desktop instead of file directory with no luck.
okay so im trying to extract CSS on my mac, just like i did with mw2. it worked fine and fast with mw2, but once I get to 50-70% extracting for css (about 3 mins after I started) it closes and said it quit unexpectedly. can someone help me to keep the file up even after a long time of extracting? Cause I know its not the .rar file.
